In this scam, you receive a video call from an unknown number. If you answer, you see a nude or inappropriately dressed person. The scammer records your face alongside this video.
The Trap
Within minutes, they send you the recorded video, threatening to upload it to social media unless you pay a large sum.
What To Do
- Do NOT Pay: Paying only encourages them to ask for more.
- Block the Number: Immediately block reports the number on WhatsApp.
- Report to Police: File a cyber crime complaint immediately.
- Secure Your Social Media: Make your friends list private so they can't threaten to send it to them.
